A Favorite Quote About Parenting For Launch

Parents need to move from the driver’s seat to the passenger’s seat in their child’s life.

    High Points About Parenting Teens:

As a society we are not preparing out kids for launch.

Kids need to learn many things to function well as an adult. Parents think schools are teaching them and schools think parents are…kids are losing out.

Parents have the power to take control of what we do. Performance parenting, helicopter parenting, and buddy/permissive parenting styles leave kids with problems. Instead focus on giving your child wings not strings.

Remember that you are raising a future adult.

No parent is a perfect parent. Here are three things to focus on to be the best parent you can be:

    1. Keep your mind on the goal.
    2. Trust in your relationship with your child.
    3. Build your child’s confidence.

Parents need to move from the driver’s seat to the passenger’s seat in their child’s life.
